Grape growers seek advice from Rotstein Lockwood Reddy after Victorian bushfires
Posted: 12/03/2009
One of the knock-on effects of the recent Victorian bushfires has been that wine makers are refusing to buy grapes from growers in the Yarra Valley because of alleged 'smoke taint', or otherwise seeking substantial reductions in the price of the grapes.
Rotstein Lockwood Reddy is providing advice to grape growers in that regard. Given the time-critical nature of harvesting grapes for wine making, such advice must not only be legally and commercially sound, but must also drive to the best possible outcome in all the circumstances.
